
Dr. Diane Brown
Dr. Diane Brown has been with the practice and part of the Hastings community since 1989. She became a partner at the Hastings Veterinary Clinic in 1998. She attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls prior to veterinary school, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Brown grew up on her family’s dairy farm in central Wisconsin, and quite appropriately, married a dairy farmer after moving to Hastings. She and her husband Jim have four children, four grandchildren and live on a dairy farm just north of Hastings. While she still enjoys the dairy part of our practice, her main emphasis is in companion animal medicine.

Dr. Tony Cologgi
Dr. Tony Cologgi obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech and then obtained his DVM from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. He has lived in Minnesota since 2000. During his years in practice beginning in 1996, he has developed a variety of interests in the field. He has an interest in soft tissue surgery and enjoys the challenges of wound healing. He also has an interest in exotic animal medicine and surgery, particularly small mammal and avian. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching college football.

Melinda
Mel, a proud Hastings native, graduated from Argosy University and is known for her incredible work ethic and dedication. She is a loving mother to three children and a proud grandmother to her cherished grandson. Whether at work or with family, Mel brings warmth, determination, and a strong sense of community to everything she does.

Casey
Casey grew up in Hastings and graduated from University of Minnesota-Crookston with a bachelors in Natural Resources in 2018 with a focus on wildlife management. He is actively in school to become a CVT. Casey enjoys spending time at the cabin, camping, and hunting. He joined our team in the summer of 2020.

Megan
Megan joined our team in 2020 after completing her veterinary technician school at Dakota County Technical College. Megan enjoys going to concerts, listening to music, snowboarding, and spending time with her dog, Tuxx.

Megan
Megan is a devoted Minnesota Twins fan who also has a deep love for her cat, her husband, and the simple joys of life. She enjoys getting lost in a good book, spending time in nature, and relaxing with her favorite furry companion. Whether at the ballpark or on a quiet trail, Megan brings warmth, curiosity, and a great sense of humor wherever she goes.

Madison
Madison grew up in Grand Rapids MN, moved to Hastings in 2018. Looking for a place to call home she spent a year in Greenville SC and a year in Hudson WI. She now lives with her sister, and two cats back in Hastings. After joining the veterinary field in 2019 and working at 3 clinics including starting at HVC in 2021, she’s moved from working reception to helping out as a veterinary assistant. Outside of work Madison spends her time thrifting, hiking, and volunteering as a Bible teacher.

Theresa
Theresa is an adventurous and nature-loving individual who finds joy in spending time outdoors and exploring new destinations. At home, she shares her life with her beloved dog, Fozzy, who is always a bunch of joy with his tongue out of his mouth. Theresa is also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, with whom she loves creating lasting memories.

Mikayla
Mikayla joined Hastings Veterinary Clinic in 2022 after graduating from Prescott High School. She has a passion for growing her hobby farm, which is home to dogs, rabbits, chickens, goats, and cats. In her free time, she enjoys trail riding, fishing, and working with all kinds of animals.

Heather
Heather is a fun loving person who enjoys camping and hiking. She loves to travel and is fluent in Spanish thanks to living in the Dominican Republic for several years. Heather loves to spend time with her husband and two amazing kids. She has a lively household that includes two dogs, three cats, and a bearded dragon named Pickles. She’s always laughing and has a love for all creatures-furry, scaly, or otherwise.

Madison
In August 2024, Madison joined our team. She attended Farmington High School, where she was raised, and graduated in 2023. She is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician Certification. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her new red lab puppy named Ruger.

Becky
Becky is a devoted mom of two and a passionate animal lover. She shares her home with four dogs, a bird, and a vibrant fish tank. Actively involved in dog sports and conformation showing, Becky loves training and showcasing her dogs’ talents. Her energy, dedication, and love for animals shine through in everything she does.

Lucas
Lucas is a member of the University of Minnesota Vet School Class of 2027. He has a strong interest in preventive care, surgery, and dentistry. When he’s not studying, you’ll likely find him on the golf course, out on the river, or spending quality time with his girlfriend, dogs, and close friends and family.

Danny
Danny graduated from Hastings High School in 2020 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from UW–River Falls. He’s now a member of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2027. Outside of the clinic, Danny enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their dog, Nash. He also loves being out on the river with family and golfing with friends.
